News as of August 4th 2007
Sorry the news was a little late this week, what with mid terms, a birthday and the folks coming to visit, time just flew by.
I'm half way through Greek! You will be proud to know that I did well on the Midterm with a 98%. Yeah!! We are translating some scripture in class now and that is really cool. It seems surreal when you are reading a familiar story in another language and realize that this is how the author actually wrote it.
Charles has finished his job with Wachovia and spent the past few days just catching up with himself. There are a few work opportunities in the pipeline but nothing definite.
The kids for a brief two weeks were the proud parents of 2 American Toads. They had obtained them while visiting our old neighbors (Angela & Eddie) in Charlotte at the middle of July. Charles was a little shocked when these extra passengers greeted him for the return to Decatur. However the decision was made to return them back to Charlotte at the end of July as they eat too much. In 3 days they had gone through over 24 small crickets and 15 large ones. So once again at the end of the month, the Toads were given a free ride back to Charlotte where they were left with Angela to find alternative housing.
On Tuesday July 31st, Mom & Dad came down for our son's birthday that occurred the following day. All had a great time at the celebration, and Chocolate Cake was available. Funny how the mention of food, cake and ice cream will bring other seminarians out of their homes. A good crowd attended the event and none left hungry.
On Thursday August 2nd, my folks, Charles & the kids spent the day at Stone Mountain. They all had fun - riding a train, skycar and a boat. Check out the photos page to see some of what they saw.
The kids are enjoying themselves this week as they get to spend time with Grandma & Grandpa at their camper, which is at a campground close to Decatur. Most nights they chose to stay over giving me more quiet time to study.

That is all for just now. Thank you for your prayers and your notes. Check back for the latest news
